My name is Mark Johnson, and I am a second generation hypnotherapist. I did not discover hypnosis in a weekend seminar. I grew up around it, watched it change lives up close, and eventually built my own practice on it. Along the way I learned the difference between hypnosis that soothes and hypnosis that transforms, and that difference is exactly what I teach.

Today I train practitioners across the country through Good Vibes Hypnosis Training. The program carries certification through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, recognized worldwide, and I serve as a Career Partner with the Newton Institute, so this training also opens the door to spiritual regression work if that path ever calls to you. Those credentials matter, but here is what matters more: I teach interactive hypnosis, not script reading. You will graduate knowing how to sit with a real human being and guide them to real depth.

How Does Live Online Training
Actually Work?

This is a complete professional certification, delivered live online. You will spend 110 hours in live instruction with me, matched by 110 hours of self-directed study, for a full 220 hour education. Every single class day includes supervised practice, because you do not learn hypnotherapy by watching it. You learn it by doing it, with real people, while someone experienced watches and guides you.

In breakout rooms you will receive personal mentoring on your inductions, your language, and your presence. You will practice conversational, interactive techniques that respond to the client in front of you instead of a script in your lap. And by the time you finish, you will have guided enough real sessions under supervision that seeing your first paying client feels like a natural next step rather than a leap of faith.

Yes. Our IACT certification is fully recognized in Massachusetts and internationally, a professional credential respected well beyond New England.

Classes run 10:00 to 6:00 Central Time, which is 11:00 in the morning to 7:00 in the evening in Boston. A full day, and not an early one.

Absolutely. This foundational 110 hour live training is the specific prerequisite required for those in the Boston area moving toward Life Between Lives (LBL) work.

The complete certification is delivered through a live, interactive online classroom, so you can train from Boston or anywhere else without the expense of travel. This is not a set of recordings. You are in the room with me and your fellow students in real time, practicing daily under live supervision.

They will once they see results, and that is worth more than any credential you can hang on a wall. A medical doctor near me was openly skeptical of hypnosis until one of her patients quit smoking in a single session. She started sending me her most difficult cases. Years later, when she was preparing to climb Kilimanjaro and found herself paralyzed by anxiety her own tools could not touch, she booked a session for herself. She summited, and she still refers patients to me. I will teach you the ethics, the boundaries and the referral language that make that kind of relationship possible.

Class runs 10:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening Central Time, which lands at 11:00 to 7:00 on the East Coast and 8:00 to 4:00 on the West Coast. Wherever you are joining from in Massachusetts, it is a normal working day rather than a middle of the night commitment. Students from every time zone in the country sit in these classes together, and I will tell you the honest truth about your particular offset on the discovery call if you want to think it through before you commit.

Many of my students are licensed clinical social workers, psychotherapists, counselors, nurses and professional coaches, and they tend to describe the same thing. Talk therapy is valuable, but it works largely within the conscious mind, and that can feel slow. Hypnosis accelerates the work you already do. By moving past the conscious mind's critical factor you reach the place where the patterns and the programs actually live. Adding interactive techniques like Parts Therapy, inner child work and regression to cause lets you help a client find and release a block in far less time than talking around it. Your license stays your baseline authority. This is a tool that makes it go further.

Hours and practice, mostly. A weekend course gives you a certificate. This is 220 hours, half of it live with me, with supervised practice on every single class day, five complete sessions with people outside of class before you certify, a written assignment, an exam, and a recorded session you submit. I am not interested in handing you a piece of paper. I want you to have guided enough real people, with someone experienced watching, that seeing your first paying client feels like the natural next thing rather than a leap.
