Mark is a Second Generation Hypnotherapist with an office in Dallas, Texas.
Hypnosis was a normal part of growing up for Mark and from an early
age he developed an interest in both music and hypnosis, and made the
decision to pursue a career in music. His father had incorporated hypnosis into
his medical practice in the late 1950’s, eventually delivering over 1500 babies
using hypnosis for pain control during delivery. While growing up, Mark was
excited to have the opportunity to observe and participate in a variety of
hypnosis sessions with his father in their home. These sessions involved habit
control, stress reduction, stage hypnosis as well as regression.
The decision to pursue a career in music, lead Mark to study music at Berklee College of
Music in Boston, MA and North Texas State in Denton, TX. While finishing his Master of Music
degree in Denton, Texas , where he used hypnosis for test anxiety, Mark became interested in
what would eventually become his second career, computer programming. After 12 years of teaching
piano classes, he made the transition to programming, which was also a 12 year career. Although he
did not realize it at the time, both of these experiences were setting the stage for what would come next in his life, Hypnosis.
The mind has been compared to a computer, a very powerful computer. Many of our
habits, activities and actions we do everyday without thinking about them are
based on programs that are stored in the subconscious mind. Some of these
programs are good, like the one that tells your heart to beat and the one that
tells you to continue breathing. These autonomic “programs” reside in the
subconscious mind as do other habits which may affect you in a negative way.
Using hypnosis to help others involves the process of teaching people how to
make permanent changes in their life by making changes to the programming in
the subconscious mind. After a successful career as a music teacher and a
second career as a computer programmer, Mark has been able to integrate his
knowledge of hypnosis with his experiences as a teacher and a programmer to
discover the secret to helping people change their minds, and change their
lives with hypnosis!
The study of hypnosis is a never ending process that includes both training and
practical experience working with a variety of issues. After completing his
initial 500 hour training and several certification exams, Mark was awarded the
Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist certification from the American Council of
Hypnotist Examiners. He did not stop there, and over the years his studies have taken
him from coast to coast as he has studied with the top trainers in Hypnotherapy including,
Gil Boyne, Ormond McGill, Michael Newton, Paul Aurand, Dolores Cannon and George Bien,
among others.
Mark is a Certified Master Trainer with The International Association of Counselors and Therapists, a
Certified Hypnotherapist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and a member of the Michael Newton Institute of Spiritual Regression.
While he sees a lot of clients for stop smoking hypnosis and hypnosis weight loss,
many people contact him for a variety of challenges in their lives like gaining weight,
stress and anxiety, procrastination, relationship problems, fears and phobias, insomnia,
as well as many other challenges.
His background in web development has provided Mark with the ability to stay on top of the search engines
so that he can help more and more people discover the power within by sharing what he knows about hypnosis and
self hypnosis with each and every client who comes to see him in his office in Dallas, as well as his out of town locations
when he offers hypnosis in Houston, New Orleans, Oklahoma City and his hometown of Charleston, S.C.
