What Is Hypnosis, Without the Mystery?

A natural state of focused attention that you already visit on your own. When the drive to Tulsa disappears and you cannot account for forty miles of it, that was the state. A hypnotherapist learns to guide someone there deliberately and use it, because in that state the subconscious mind, where habits and patterns actually live, will accept help it normally argues with.

Nobody surrenders control. Clients hear everything, remember the session, and cannot be made to do anything against their values. What the training teaches is the craft around the state, how to guide someone in reliably, how to work once you are there, and how to bring real, lasting change out with you.

Can I Train Around a Full Time Job?

That is the standard way through. The live portion is twelve days, three modules of four days, Thursday through Sunday, every other week, which costs a normal work week six days off spread across six weeks. Oklahoma sits in Central time, so class runs 10 to 6 with no conversion and no early alarms.

The other 110 hours, the reading list, the video library, and five complete practice sessions with people outside class, fit around your actual life. Working people finish this program every single class, because it was built for them.

I get this question from Oklahoma often and I take it seriously. Hypnosis is focused attention, not surrender, and nothing in it asks anyone to set aside their faith or their values; many of my students and their clients are people of deep conviction who practice comfortably within it. Classes run 10:00 to 6:00 Central Time, and Oklahoma City is Central, so class time is your time, no conversion needed.

Yes. This foundational 110 hour live training is the specific Newton Institute prerequisite for Oklahoma students moving toward past life regression and LBL work.

It depends entirely on what you intend to do with it, and I would rather say that plainly than sell you something. If you are going to see clients, then yes, and the tuition tends to come back inside your first twenty paying sessions or fewer. If you want the certificate for the wall, or to add a line to a coaching page you are not really going to use, then no amount of tuition is worth it and I will say so on the call.

The other half of the question is which training is worth it, and there I would judge any program, mine included, on three things. How many hours are live with the person teaching, how many times you will guide a real human being with someone experienced watching you, and what happens after the last class day.

A course that is mostly recordings and no supervised practice produces people holding a certificate who have never actually run a session, and that is where the disappointment comes from. Ask any program those three questions, not just this one.

You graduate ready, and that is deliberate. By the time you finish you have practiced on every class day under supervision and completed at least five full sessions with people outside of class, so seeing your first paying client is the next step rather than a leap. Many students start before the program even ends. The post training days exist partly for this, because four to six weeks after the last module you come back with real sessions behind you and real questions, and we work through them together.
