Baltimore Hypnosis Training brings a second generation perspective to a city with a deep appreciation for professional excellence. Growing up in the presence of my father's work, I learned that the most effective hypnosis is grounded in practical application, and my approach was shaped further by legendary figures like Gil Boyne and Gerald Kein. That gives Maryland students a robust clinical foundation, built through daily supervised practice, right here in the Charm City.

Is Baltimore Hypnosis Training held in person or online?

Baltimore Hypnosis Training runs as a live, interactive online classroom, so you can complete the entire professional certification from Fells Point to Towson and anywhere else in Maryland without travel. You are in class with me in real time, trading supervised practice sessions every class day. This is not a bundle of recordings. It is a live classroom, and Charm City has a seat in it.

Can Hypnotherapy Work Alongside Medicine in a Hospital Town Like Baltimore?

It can do better than coexist. My father was a medical doctor who used hypnosis in his practice for decades, delivering over 1,500 babies with it, so I teach this work as a colleague of medicine, not a rival. You will learn how to set proper boundaries, when a client needs licensed care alongside your work, and how to build ethical referral relationships. In a city ringed by hospitals and clinics, the practitioner who works respectfully alongside medicine is the one doctors quietly start sending people to.

What Does Certification Actually Require?

The full 220 hours, and every one earns its place. You attend 110 live hours, Thursday through Sunday every other week. You complete 110 self directed hours, including the reading list, the video library, and at least five complete sessions with people outside class. You turn in a written assignment, pass an exam we prepare for together, finish a short ethics course, and submit a recorded session. It is more than most schools ask. That is why the designation means something.

Hypnotherapy Training

Dallas Hypnosis Training was excellent. There is so much to learn when you are first getting started. You have to learn all the basics and build the foundation. In the beginning it feels a little tedious, but later on you realize how important all of those first steps were. Mark covers it all and you find yourself going back to those basics over and over again. It’s been a year since I began this journey, and I find myself continuously going back to my notes, looking stuff up in the Manuel, checking the Roy Hunter books and looking through my Dropbox resources. Mark gives you the foundation and all of the tools you need to build with. Solid, dependable and great at his job. Hypnosis is far cooler than I ever imagined, and Dallas Hypnosis Training is a great place to learn it.

I Am a Nurse or a Bodyworker. Does This Fit What I Already Do?

Beautifully, and Maryland's helping professions are exactly who keeps arriving in my cohorts. Nurses bring clinical judgment and calm under pressure. Massage therapists bring years of reading bodies and holding trust, often alongside joints that are asking for a gentler profession. Hypnotherapy asks for everything you have already built and none of the physical toll, and many practitioners add it alongside their existing work first, letting it grow at its own pace.

What If a Client Brings Up Something Heavy?

Then your training holds, because we build for that moment on purpose. You are not there to fix anyone, and the techniques keep you in the facilitator's seat: the client's own subconscious does the resolving while you guide without leading. You will know your boundaries, your disclaimer language, and exactly when and how to involve licensed care. And you will have practiced all of it under supervision, with help one button press away, long before you ever sit with a paying client.

Is there room for a new hypnotherapist in Baltimore?

Baltimore sits in one of the densest health corridors in the country, surrounded by hospitals, clinics and helping professionals, and yet properly trained hypnotherapists remain rare here. When counselors, nurses and bodyworkers in Maryland add real subconscious work to what they offer, they are usually the only one in their circle who can. Scarcity like that is an advantage.

Baltimore does not hand out its respect, it makes you earn it, and that is precisely how this training works too. Practice inductions from the first module, master the mechanics of suggestion and regression under live supervision, and you will stand in front of the Baltimore community as a competent professional in your own right.

Yes. This foundational 110 hour live training is the specific Newton Institute prerequisite for those in the Baltimore area moving toward LBL work.

From the first day. Every class day includes supervised practice, where you go into a breakout room with a classmate and take turns as hypnotist and as client. You will experience hypnosis yourself as often as you facilitate it, which matters more than people expect, because knowing what it feels like from the inside makes you far better at guiding it. Then before you certify you complete at least five full sessions with people outside the class. By the end you have real hours behind you, not just notes.

Almost every student arrives carrying this fear, so we take it head on, on day one. You will learn the Dave Elman induction, a technique that has been working for over a hundred years and takes five or six minutes to guide someone into a deep, relaxed state. Then comes the moment I love watching. In your very first practice trade you will guide your partner to close their eyes and tell them their eyelids are locked shut, sealed, and to try to open them. They try. They cannot. Something shifts in both of you right then. That is not a mystical gift showing up, it is a structured skill working exactly the way it is built to, and you did it on your first day.
