Albuquerque Hypnosis Training brings a second generation education to a state that has honored healing work longer than almost any other. I was raised around my father's practice and trained under masters like Gil Boyne and Gerald Kein, and New Mexico students bring the perfect mix to that lineage: analytical minds from the labs and hospitals, and intuitive ones from a healing culture that runs the length of the Rio Grande.

Is Albuquerque Hypnosis Training held in person or online?

Albuquerque Hypnosis Training is delivered through a live, interactive online classroom, so the complete professional certification is open to you from Nob Hill to Rio Rancho, the North Valley to the East Mountains, without fighting I-25 or flying to a coast for another weekend seminar. You are in the room with me and your classmates in real time, practicing every class day under live supervision.

Do Engineers and Scientists Make Good Hypnotherapists?

Some of my strongest students have come out of technical careers, including one Albuquerque engineer who found me through the Newton Institute and went on to become a fine hypnotherapist. The reason is simple: hypnosis has structure. An induction is a procedure. Regression to cause is a diagnostic process. Suggestion work is designed, tested and refined against the response in front of you. A mind trained at the labs or in an engineering department takes to that structure quickly, because it already knows how to follow a process honestly and observe what actually happens.

What surprises technical people is the other half. Somewhere in the supervised practice, usually in the second module, the procedure becomes a conversation and the checklist falls away. The five complete sessions you run outside class finish the job. Precision gets you started in this work. Presence is what develops, and the training is built to grow both.

How Does This Fit New Mexico’s Healing Culture?

New Mexico has held healing traditions longer than almost anywhere in the country, and the corridor from Albuquerque up through Santa Fe carries an openness to this work that most cities have to be talked into. My students from the wellness side, bodyworkers, energy practitioners, curanderas’ granddaughters, arrive with the intuition already in place. What the certification adds is a clinical spine: ethics, scope, session structure, regression to cause, and 220 documented hours behind your name.

That combination is rare and it reads instantly to clients. The openness draws people to your door. The discipline is what lets you help them once they sit down, and it is what separates a certified hypnotherapist from every well meaning practitioner working on instinct alone.

Hypnotherapy Training

I was looking for a hypnotherapy class and referred to Mark by a board member of Michael Newton Institute. We had a 1:1 session. Mark was very nice and friendly. I was impressed with his life story and how he ended up to be a hypnotherapist. I got motivated since I also had come from engineering world to hypnosis world. During his class, I found him a very experienced and reliable person. Everyone in our class learned a lot and enjoyed very much. Mark is not only a professional hypnotherapist, but also has served the society by training many hypnotherapists. I like his consistent support of his students by providing resources and advice when needed. I hope this testimony help people who want to work with him as prospective student or as client.

Is Albuquerque Big Enough to Support a Hypnotherapy Practice?

It is, and in some ways the size works for you. A metro of a million people with only a handful of serious hypnotherapists is a far friendlier market than a coastal city with a practitioner on every block. Stress, sleep, habits and confidence do not care what the population sign says, and word of mouth travels fast in a city that still behaves like a big town.

And your practice is not fenced in by Bernalillo County. Online sessions work beautifully, my own practice proved that years ago, so an Albuquerque address can serve clients in Denver, Phoenix, Dallas or anywhere else. Local presence plus national reach is the modern shape of this profession.

What Does the Schedule Ask of a Working Person?

Twelve class days: three modules of four days each, Thursday through Sunday, every other week. For someone on a standard work week that is six days off across six weeks, not a career interruption. And New Mexico gets the friendliest clock in the country for this class: 10 to 6 Central is exactly 9 to 5 Mountain, so the training day fits your day like it was scheduled for you.

The 110 self directed hours, the reading, the video library, and your five practice sessions with people outside class, happen on your own schedule. Students hold jobs, raise families and run other practices while completing this program. It was designed for exactly that.

Do I have to travel to Santa Fe or out of state for serious training?

No. Santa Fe and Taos have wonderful retreat workshops, but a working clinical education is a different thing: 220 hours, live demonstration, daily supervised practice, a recognized certification. That complete program now arrives to your home in Albuquerque, and the only thing you give up is the drive.

The Duke City rewards people who can do the work, not just talk about it. Learn the mechanics under live supervision, run real sessions from your first module, and build the kind of quiet competence that Albuquerque respects, backed by a certification recognized worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The IACT certification is recognized in New Mexico and internationally, giving your Albuquerque practice a credential recognized worldwide.

Classes run 10:00 to 6:00 Central Time, which is 9:00 to 5:00 Mountain Time for Albuquerque students. The training day fits a New Mexico day almost perfectly.

Yes. This foundational 110 hour live training is the specific Newton Institute prerequisite for New Mexico students moving toward past life regression and LBL work.

It is one of the most natural transitions I see. Bodyworkers come to me saying some version of the same thing, that the stamina is not what it was and they cannot picture doing this for another fifteen years. You already know how to hold space for someone, how to be trusted with a body and a nervous system, how to notice what a person is not saying. Hypnotherapy asks for all of that and none of the physical toll. Many bodyworkers add it alongside their existing practice at first and let it grow as their hands do less.

They will once they see results, and that is worth more than any credential you can hang on a wall. A medical doctor near me was openly skeptical of hypnosis until one of her patients quit smoking in a single session. She started sending me her most difficult cases. Years later, when she was preparing to climb Kilimanjaro and found herself paralyzed by anxiety her own tools could not touch, she booked a session for herself. She summited, and she still refers patients to me. I will teach you the ethics, the boundaries and the referral language that make that kind of relationship possible.
