Is Tampa Hypnosis Training held in person or online?

Tampa Hypnosis Training is delivered through a live, interactive online classroom, so the complete professional certification is open to you from St. Pete to Clearwater, Brandon to Wesley Chapel, and down the coast toward Sarasota, in air conditioning the whole way. You are in the room live, practicing daily under supervision with classmates from across the country.

This is a complete 220 hour professional certification taught personally by second generation hypnotherapist Mark Johnson, delivered through a live, interactive online classroom. You practice on real people every single class day, under live supervision, and graduate ready to see paying clients.

I have certified students in their twenties and students in their seventies, and if I had to bet on which builds the steadier practice, I would take the gray hair. Hypnotherapy is a seated, spoken craft with no physical toll, and every year you have lived reads as trust the moment a client sits down. Life experience is not a limitation in this profession. It is inventory.

The training assumes no prior background and builds everything from the ground up: the state, the techniques, the session structure, the ethics. What the decades give you is everything the course cannot teach, and that combination is why second act practitioners so often outperform the young ones.

What Does the Schedule Look Like From Tampa?

Class runs 11 in the morning to 7 in the evening Eastern, three modules of four days each, Thursday through Sunday, every other week. For someone still working, that is six days off spread across six weeks. For someone happily done working, it is simply twelve engaged days with a week off between each set.

The 110 self directed hours, the reading, the video library, and five practice sessions with people outside class, happen on your schedule, and I am reliably told the reading list pairs well with a lanai and an iced tea. I spent several years writing code for a living, including a stretch programming for match.com, while seeing clients on evenings and weekends and slowly building up. That is the path I recommend, because it takes financial survival pressure off the table and lets you focus on getting good. Some students move faster. I had one buy an office condo before our class even finished. But easing in is not a lesser version of this, it is the sustainable version. You learn this work by sitting in the chair and doing sessions, and the practice grows as your confidence does.

Almost every student arrives carrying this fear, so we take it head on, on day one. You will learn the Dave Elman induction, a technique that has been working for over a hundred years and takes five or six minutes to guide someone into a deep, relaxed state. Then comes the moment I love watching. In your very first practice trade you will guide your partner to close their eyes and tell them their eyelids are locked shut, sealed, and to try to open them. They try. They cannot. Something shifts in both of you right then. That is not a mystical gift showing up, it is a structured skill working exactly the way it is built to, and you did it on your first day.
