Reno Hypnosis Training is delivered through a live, interactive online classroom, so the complete professional certification is open to you from Midtown to Somersett, Sparks to Spanish Springs, Carson City up to Truckee, with the 395 left to the ski traffic. Live demonstration and supervised practice, every class day.

What Does the Certification Involve?

This is a complete 220 hour professional certification taught personally by second generation hypnotherapist Mark Johnson, delivered through a live, interactive online classroom. You practice on real people every single class day, under live supervision, and graduate ready to see paying clients.

It means you keep the small city life and skip the small city ceiling. Your overhead is Reno overhead, a quiet room, no lease, Sierra light out the window, while your client base runs from Sparks to wherever the video call reaches, at rates set by results rather than by what the local market thinks inner work should cost. The economics of a coastal practice, lived at Tahoe’s doorstep.

My own practice has run online for years and proved the model this city put on its arch: the size of the address has nothing to do with the size of the reach.

The City Is Booming. What Does That Mean for the Caseload?

It means the caseload arrived with the moving trucks. The warehouses, the tech campuses and the spillover from over the Sierra have filled the metro with people mid change, new jobs, new pressure, disrupted sleep, old habits unpacked in new houses, and people mid change are this craft’s natural clientele. The old Reno carries its own load too: the casino economy’s shift workers know exactly what the neon costs.

The complete 220 hours from home: 110 live across three Thursday through Sunday modules, every other week, running 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon Pacific, plus 110 self directed hours including five real practice sessions with people outside class. An exam we prepare for together in class completes it.

You certify through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, recognized worldwide, first year of membership included, with six months of the Good Vibes Hypnosis Training Mentorship Program, a live group session on the third Tuesday of every month, lighting the way like a very small, very confident arch.

Is Reno big enough for a full practice?

On its own, comfortably: a half million person metro in the middle of a boom, with the university, the hospitals and almost no certified competition. But the honest answer is that the question is obsolete, because an online practice makes Reno an address rather than a limit. Biggest little, as advertised.

And we talk about the grassroots side, using local meetups, meditation groups and community groups to get your first sessions and your first war stories under your belt.
