I Grew Up Inside This Work

My name is Mark Johnson, and I am a second generation hypnotherapist. I did not discover hypnosis in a weekend seminar. I grew up around it, watched it change lives up close, and eventually built my own practice on it. Along the way I learned the difference between hypnosis that soothes and hypnosis that transforms, and that difference is exactly what I teach.

Today I train practitioners across the country through Good Vibes Hypnosis Training. I had one buy an office condo before our class even finished. But easing in is not a lesser version of this, it is the sustainable version. You learn this work by sitting in the chair and doing sessions, and the practice grows as your confidence does.

No, and I would gently push back on the premise. A great deal of what makes someone good at this work is life lived. Knowing what grief actually feels like, what a hard marriage feels like, what raising children or losing a parent does to a person. Students come to me in their fifties and sixties saying their heart is finally coming back to where they wanted it decades ago, before someone told them there was no money in it. They are often the best practitioners in the room, because a client can feel that they are talking to someone who has been somewhere.
