Houston Hypnosis Training runs as a live, interactive online classroom, which puts the complete professional certification within reach from the Heights to Sugar Land and anywhere else in Southeast Texas, without fighting I-45 to get to class. You are in the room with me in real time, practicing every class day. This is not a video library. It is a working classroom.

This is a complete 220 hour professional certification taught personally by second generation hypnotherapist Mark Johnson, delivered through a live, interactive online classroom. You practice on real people every single class day, under live supervision, and graduate ready to see paying clients.

Does Hypnotherapy Belong in a Medical City Like Houston?

Comfortably, and my own family history says so. My father was a medical doctor who used hypnosis inside his practice for decades, including delivering over 1,500 babies with hypnosis for pain control. Can I Train Around a Demanding Houston Work Schedule?

The schedule was engineered for exactly that. Three modules of four days, Thursday through Sunday, every other week: twelve class days, six of them weekend days, so a standard work week gives up only six days across the whole certification. Class runs 10:00 to 6:00 Central, Houston's own clock. The 110 self directed hours flex around shift patterns, travel weeks and family, which is how students in the energy business keep making this work.

How Soon Do Students See Paying Clients?

Sooner than most expect, because readiness is built into the certification rather than left for later. Before you finish you will have practiced on every class day under supervision and completed at least five full sessions with people outside the class, so the first paying client is a continuation, not a debut. Some students book clients before the program ends. Most of my graduates recoup their tuition within their first twenty paying clients, or fewer.

Is the Certification Actually Legitimate?

Fair question in a field with weekend certificates, and the answer is in the requirements. This is a 220 hour program: 110 live hours, 110 self directed, daily supervised practice, five complete outside sessions, a written assignment, an exam we prepare for together, an ethics course, and a recorded session you submit. Certification comes through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, recognized worldwide, with your first year of membership included. It is earned, which is why it means something.

Do Houston students really practice every class day?

Every single one, and that is the part Houston students tend to appreciate most. Watching hypnosis teaches you about hypnosis. Doing it, daily, in supervised breakout rooms with a classmate and help one button away, teaches you hypnosis. By certification you have run the techniques so many times they stop being procedures and start being reflexes, which is exactly what an engineer would call mastery.

Houston respects precision, and that is exactly what this training builds in you. Once you have practiced these techniques daily under live supervision, the mechanics of change stop being theory and become something you can deliver, session after session, for clients across the Houston area who are waiting for a guide who truly knows the work.

No, and I would gently push back on the premise. A great deal of what makes someone good at this work is life lived. Knowing what grief actually feels like, what a hard marriage feels like, what raising children or losing a parent does to a person. Students come to me in their fifties and sixties saying their heart is finally coming back to where they wanted it decades ago, before someone told them there was no money in it. They are often the best practitioners in the room, because a client can feel that they are talking to someone who has been somewhere.

You graduate ready, and that is deliberate. By the time you finish you have practiced on every class day under supervision and completed at least five full sessions with people outside of class, so seeing your first paying client is the next step rather than a leap. Many students start before the program even ends. The post training days exist partly for this, because four to six weeks after the last module you come back with real sessions behind you and real questions, and we work through them together.
