I wish there were 10 or 20 stars, as I cannot begin to put into words how amazing the Hypnosis Training course was with Mark Johnson. Once COVID-19 derailed the original class schedule of meeting in-person for two separate weeks of training, Mark presented through Zoom. We had presentations and lectures, we were able to see notes and outlines, video clips and live demonstrations with his shared screens. Lots of member participation and interaction. The separate rooms were perfect for practicing techniques with partners. Zoom allowed for Mark to enter the rooms and observe; as well, there was a help button so he could assist at anytime. Feedback throughout was excellent. As I have practiced with volunteers, friends, family, all of which was done on Zoom, both the clients as well as myself have been extremely comfortable and found the on-line experiences to be comfortable and effective. I feel very well prepared and have formed some awesome relationships with Mark and my fellow classmates. The best!

The caseload here never checks the tourism calendar. Stress, sleep and habit work run year round, and the resort economy itself supplies a second clientele, seasonal workers and business owners who need their own patterns steadied through the boom months and their income diversified through the quiet ones. What Does the Hypnotherapy Certification Require for Hampton Roads Students?

Twelve live days, three modules of four days, Thursday through Sunday, every other week, running 11 in the morning to 7 in the evening Eastern. Six days of leave or PTO across six weeks covers a standard schedule. The 110 self directed hours, reading, the video library, and five complete practice sessions with people outside class, flex around deployments of every kind.

You certify through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, recognized worldwide with your first year of membership included, and tuition carries six months of the Good Vibes Hypnosis Mentor Circle, a live group session on the third Tuesday of every month, wherever in the world you happen to be attending from.

Yes. The IACT certification is recognized in Virginia and internationally, and it travels: your credential holds wherever the military or life relocates you.

Classes run 10:00 to 6:00 Central Time, which is 11:00 in the morning to 7:00 in the evening Eastern for Hampton Roads students.

Often, yes. Military spouses, veterans and military families are regulars in these classes, drawn by the most portable credentialed profession available to them.

Most of my students take six to nine months from their first class day to holding the certification, and the quickest finish in three to four.

The range exists because the program has two halves that run at different speeds. The live half is fixed, twelve class days across three modules, Thursday through Sunday every other week, plus the two post training days about four to six weeks after the final module, so the classroom portion spans three to four months. The other 110 hours are self directed and self paced, and that is the part that stretches or compresses around your own life. You have six months after the last class day to finish them, so nobody is racing, and most people use a fair portion of that window.

That is less time than most people assume for a genuine 220 hour certification and considerably more than a weekend course would have you believe. One honest note. Certified and confident are not the same milestone, which is why six months of mentorship is included after you finish.

Graduates earn certification through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, which is recognized worldwide, and your first year of membership is included. The training also satisfies the foundational prerequisite for the Newton Institute, where I serve as a Career Partner, so if spiritual regression work ever calls to you, this training is the doorway rather than a detour.
