About Your Instructor Mark Johnson

I did not discover this work in a weekend seminar. I am a second generation hypnotherapist, and I grew up watching my father, a medical doctor who studied clinical hypnosis with Dave Elman and Milton Erickson, use it to change lives up close. When my own path finally led me into the work in 2003, I already knew what it could do. I have spent the years since learning how to create that kind of change for others.

I have been working with clients since 2003 and teaching since 2012. I have learned that the difference between a hypnotherapist who gets results and one who struggles is almost never about the scripts they know. It is about their ability to stay present, adapt, and follow the client wherever the session needs to go.

I wish there were 10 or 20 stars, as I cannot begin to put into words how amazing the Hypnosis Training course was with Mark Johnson. Once COVID-19 derailed the original class schedule of meeting in-person for two separate weeks of training, Mark presented through Zoom. We had presentations and lectures, we were able to see notes and outlines, video clips and live demonstrations with his shared screens. Lots of member participation and interaction. The separate rooms were perfect for practicing techniques with partners. Zoom allowed for Mark to enter the rooms and observe; as well, there was a help button so he could assist at anytime. Feedback throughout was excellent. As I have practiced with volunteers, friends, family, all of which was done on Zoom, both the clients as well as myself have been extremely comfortable and found the on-line experiences to be comfortable and effective. I feel very well prepared and have formed some awesome relationships with Mark and my fellow classmates. The best!

I am currently enrolled in the hypnotherapy class that Mark offers. He is very professional and knows his stuff. I had never been hypnotized before and wasn’t sure what to expect. It is enlightening as to what you can and will experience. I am not a visual person and was a bit worried how this was going to happen. Just know if you are not visual it doesn’t matter. I found myself in deep hypnosis quite a lot in this class and I’ve learned so so much not only about hypnosis but also about myself. It’s really Amazing. If you’re serious about hypnosis I highly recommend Mark Johnson. I can’t say enough about this experience!

No prior experience is required. The training is designed to take you from complete beginner to confident and certified hypnotherapist. If you have some prior training, you will find the live practice and interactive approach fills gaps that self study programs typically leave.

All sessions are delivered live via Zoom over three four day modules, Thursday through Sunday, with a week off between modules. You will practice in supervised breakout rooms with classmates, watch live demonstrations, and participate in group discussions.

Upon successful completion you receive your Certified Hypnotherapist credential from the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. Your first year of IACT membership is included with your tuition, and your certificate is mailed to you directly.

Yes, you will begin practicing inductions on day one. By the end of the first module, you will have successfully hypnotized multiple classmates in our supervised practice sessions.

Because the training is highly interactive, live attendance is very important. However, all sessions are recorded and made available to enrolled students so you can review the material or catch up if an emergency occurs.
